I began creating pottery over 20 years ago. My vision was to learn how to make beautiful dishes. I saw porcelain  museum pieces as I tried to get the wobbly mass of clay to cooperate.  The teacher came by and said,  "It isn't a piece of fine porcelain."  How did he see my thoughts? 
After that I focused on the wheel and what I was doing right then..   I concentrated so hard that, when I was done,  I was covered in wet clay.   
Even now, if I sit for hours and concentrate, I am--not quite but almost--as covered in clay as I was that first day.
